Betonnyiy beau monde

From May, 18 till May, 20th our city accepted "experts-concreters" from all light because at us started the international congress on concrete - ICCX-2005. For two days hotel "Pulkovsky" conference hall has appeared epicentre “zamesa” 600 participants from Russia, Europe and the USA. Here there has passed also the international exhibition on which 50 leading foreign manufacturers have presented the equipment.

The congress and the exhibition are organised by journal CPI worldwide ("the International concret production") which has decided to carry out action in the second-large industrial centre of the country where extraordinary revival of a building industry recently is observed, no less than in all Russia. The journal has been registered in 1991 in Germany, now it is published in seven languages and extends in 120 countries of the world.

Organizers of the congress were not mistaken, when predicted to action the big scope. Leading experts of the world have arrived to Petersburg to find new decisions for the problems. And they are that: the competitiveness grows every year, building volumes increase. In this situation the one who has new technology or materials wins. Competition gives a powerful impulse to development of concrete productions and occurrence of the new.

By estimations of experts in 2004 in Russia it is made and realised about 56 million cubic metre of concrete items. From them 30 million modular concrete designs and ferro-concrete (it on 7 % above an indicator of 2003) and 36 million cubic metre of commodity concrete and solutions, that on 11 % more than last year’s result. In money terms the capacity of the Russian market of concrete and concrete items in 2004 has made 4,8 billion euro.

But, despite positive dynamics, development of the concrete industry in Russia still hardly concedes to foreign countries. The situation can be corrected at the expense of modernisation of domestic productions, after all about 80 % of the enterprises works on the out-of-date equipment. Therefore the congress and the exhibition became the important events for our concreters. And foreign partners in turn with enthusiasm have evaluated prospects of the Russian seller’s market of production.

 

 

 

Petersburg concrete
In our city domestic concrete in industrial volume about 100 years ago at the enterprise FOR "Barricade" for the first time has been made. In Petersburg domestic large-panel prefabrication housing construction, building of industrial buildings from spatial ferro-concrete designs with flights to 96 metres has arisen. The last years our city was considerably reoriented on issue of monolithic concrete and ferro-concrete.

Not a secret, that monopolisation in the market of construction materials is capable to lead to rise in price of square metre of housing accommodation. For example, the price for sand for half a year can grow on 40 %. Moreover, the Moscow experts assert, that quality of the concrete worsens recently, and 90 % of production on buildings of Moscow do not meet design requests to this material. Furthermore, experts believe, the concrete rise in price causes housing accommodation cost supplement on 10 %.

In company "SZNK" consider, that the Petersburg market of solutions and concrete grows, and it is proved by statistics on annual volumes of consumption of production. And concrete factories in a condition to offer a city of 4 million cubic metre in a year.

How to be, if these volumes do not cover need of builders in this material? It is possible to pass to brick building, of course. And it is possible and to open for itself new technologies.

Concrete under the individual order

Professor ZH. S.Valfaren, the chairman of the design commission on creation of a new eurocode for concrete structures, considers, that the following became revolutionary opening of the last decade: durability of concrete can be considerably increased by compression by addition mikrokremnezema in a combination to modern softeners.

Except high-strength concrete, there was also a new generation of self-condensed concrete. Further the technical thought has led to significant progress in technology fibrobetonov. In the future, the professor believes, reception high-strength fibrobetona with the high contents of a fibre is possible. The promising novelty is ekobeton. Its durability does not exceed durability usual, it however is reached considerably by smaller volumes of the binding agent. Furthermore, because of reduction of the contents of cement carbon dioxide issue decreases, and the important resources remain inviolable. There is also a new approach on a combination of concrete on their qualities, and not just on durability. In the future the material will steal up for object with allowance for its field performances.

Cheerful concrete in peas

Doctor A.E.Jung, the known expert in the field of concrete colouring, using innovative workings out, for 20 years has introduced the firm to world level. "Colour concrete" is a block in which, whenever possible homogeneously, painting pigments are mortgaged and fixed.

The sizes of parts of a pigment are very small. In it their huge painting force also is concealed, but in same the reason of sensitivity of colour concrete to weather changing consists also. The quantity of a pigment should make 5 % from cement weight. Reduction of this indicator raises sensitivity of concrete to weather and mechanical effects.

 Between concrete and a pigment there are no present chemical bonds. At aeration of a blanket of concrete the smallest particles, that is a pigment at first disappear. Stability of a surface of the hardened concrete block, as a result, also is responsible for firmness of colouring, including at use of special dyes on concrete.

Used pigments should resist as aggressive effect of the alkaline environment in concrete, and to influence of surrounding destructive factors. Necessary firmness inorganic pigments have only.

Concrete colouring occurs in a concrete mixer. In it components of concrete and dyes mix up and crushed. The doctor M.Lihtmann informs, that in Germany ferro-concrete building supersedes the monolithic more and more. First of all, it speaks price reduction of process and reduction of terms of building thanks to the typical previously produced designs.

It appears, significant technical and economic advantages can achieve if to add in concrete and ferro-concrete designs ashes. Unlike other additives, it influences concrete in three methods.

First, as the inert additive, it executes a role napolnitelya, that does concrete more dense. Secondly, the spherical form of parts of ashes gives it the property designated by experts as "ball-bearing effect". An essence that there is an improvement of sliding of cement and sand on steklovidnoy surfaces of parts of ashes. It allows to reduce quantity of waters in concrete, and, thereby, to achieve bolshey its density.

Such concrete is abrasive resistant and durable. Ashes application also promotes reduction of the size of a time and their more uniform distribution in concrete.

Besides a communication of experience and technologies, at a seminar, naturally, the attention and to the effective marketing receptions necessary for work in the market of concrete, and also criteria of success of development of the concrete enterprises was paid . The conclusion of experts of the given market was unequivocal: only qualitative production and new effective technologies, instead of low prices, will involve consumers in certain production or its trade mark.
